Lyndon-The number two ranked Lyndon Institute boys basketball team in divsion two showed why they are ranked so high beating Oxbow 58-40. The Vikings had the height difference in the game but the first nine points were scored by three pointers. Senior shooting guard Mason Lants scored the first nine points of the game.

LYNDONVILLE- Lyndon Institute students will soon have a new dedicated pathway. It will cross their campus into town on the walk bridge behind the municipal building. Construction on a new pathway began on November 25th, and is now going to make easy access for students, and will be friendlier on their feet.

LYNDONVILLE - Justin Smith, Lyndon’s Zoning Administrator for more than a decade, embarked on a new role this year, as he took over with Dawn Dwyer for Dan Hill as part-time Municipal Administrator of Lyndonville back in October, as Dan began his retirement. Dan is now in the office three days a week, but it’s been a combined role for Smith, Dwyer and Hill, as they split duties when it comes to dealing with overseeing the operating departments, such as highways, water, sewer and police, of the town and village of Lyndonville. Smith sat down with NewsLINC for an interview talking about his newly appointed position among other things.

LYNDONVILLE - Former Lyndon State College baseball coach Edward Poland, 47, of Essex Junction has been accused of embezzlement from the college's baseball program.

Lyndon State College officials contacted the Vermont State Police back in March 2013 regarding money missing from the program, shortly before Poland was forced to resign from his coaching position.
