ST. JOHNSBURY- The Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium has been one of the eighty recipients across America of the Collections Assessment for Preservations (CAP) grant.The Fairbanks museum is the only museum in the state of Vermont to receive this grant.
ST. JOHNSBURY - On Thursday at Catamount Arts, local bluegrass musician Bob Amos lead a discussion about the life of Bill Monroe, one of the genre's most significant influencers. According to Amos, many describe bluegrass as a tree, with Bill Monroe serving as the trunk.

ST. JOHNSBURY - The Chamber of Commerce for the town of St. Johnsbury has received a vermont grant which they intend to use to revitalize the Depot Square park. The Main Street Grant which the town received from the National Life Group Foundation, and the Vermont Community Foundation, as part of a state-wide grant program.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The Lyndon State College's Twilight Players had their Murder Mystery Evening this past Saturday night at the Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury. The play was based off of a singles bar in New York City and took place inside of a bar on St. Patrick's Day.

This can be detrimental to the climate and wildlife for the area, not to mention the intense flood warnings and slippery road conditions that follow a massive snow melt. ST. JOHNSBURY—The town of St. Johnsbury is proposing an increase to the general fund budget as well as the highway budget that will be put up to the voters on town meeting day. The increase in the general budget is due to the town adopting a new housing program.
On the third Thursday of every month, locals line up inside Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital; but not for treatment. Instead, they wait for fresh, local produce.

According to organ donation statistics from the U.S. Department of Health Human Services, over 116 thousand men, women, and children and children are on the national transplant watiting list, as of August 2017. ST. JOHNSBURY - January marked the 150'th year anniversary of the Universalist Unitarian Congregation of St. Johnsbury. Brendan Hadash, who served as the reverend for 19 years, commemorated the church's founding by portraying Reverend Tracy R. Spencer in a sermon. Spencer was the first minister to preach in St. Johnsbury, when the church opened in 1868.
ST. JOHNSBURY - The Kingdom Animal Shelter hosted a fundraiser on Saturday the 10th to raise money for the unowned animals of the Northeast Kingdom. While the Shelter sees many visitors both human and furry alike, the hardship of staying with the upkeep of running a shelter can be a very daunting task.
ST. JOHNSBURY- For the second year in a row, there will be a summer concert series at Dog Mountain. Catamount Arts was recently awarded the Levitt Amp Grant, which is used to bring free, live music to small cities. The town of St. Johnsbury was one of just 15 cities in the US selected for the grant.
