HOPE has been serving the NEK for years and when the pandemic arrived in Vermont, it forced them to change their daily operations.
LYNDONVILLE - The state of Vermont is well known for it's craft breweries and maple syrup, but it will also soon to be known for a hard seltzer company that will be located right here in the NEK. The idea was started by Matt Young and Bud Stevens of Lyndonville, and will feature locally made hard seltzers with a hint of Vermont's maple syrup.
LYNDON-Town meeting day takes place the first day of March, although towns are not the only ones taking votes. Kingdom East School District is planning on adding their own ballot for voters to decide on various budgets reserved for it's schools. As well as asking voters to elect school officials. Three new Lyndon representatives are running for their place on the Kingdom East School District Board, and they all have something to offer.
LYNDON-As the month of March is getting closer, towns in the Northeast Kingdom are preparing to bring in voters. While townies and villagers catch up on town warnings, Lyndon is once again addressing a decades old debate.
LYNDON-As Vermont is known to have up to one hundred covered bridges living in the state, the small town of Lyndon is getting ready to repair one of its own. As a matter of fact, it is one of the Northeast Kingdom's oldest bridges.
LYNDON - Some locals may still be digging themselves out after the foot of snow the Northeast Kingdom received over the weekend, but those at the Lyndon Outing Club are overjoyed with the accumulation. The Outing Club opened to the public on Friday, February 5th, which is very late into the season according to President Wendy Beattie.
LYNDON - Lyndonville Police are on the lookout for an intruder reported at Lyndon Institute earlier this month.
LYNDON - With the holiday season right around the corner, craft shows around the Northeast Kingdom have become the go-to for small business gift-giving. Lyndonville Agway planned a two-weekend Craft and Specialty Food Festival to meet this demand. Vendors set up in the greenhouse behind the business on Saturday, November 13, and Sunday, November 14.

LYNDONVILLE - Northern Vermont University-Lyndon will host an in person nursing program next year. The program will open 60 new slots for nursing majors in the Vermont State College System which expands from Vermont Technical College's program.
LYNDON - With the ice being put down and updates to staffing and the zamboni happening, Fenton Chester Arena will open its doors to the public this Saturday Oct. 23rd.
LYNDON - This year's Rinktoberfest auction was a community event hosted by non-profit Rink Inc in an effort to keep Fenton Chester Arena from being closed down. Many community members attended the fundraiser Saturday night to show their support.

LYNDON - After being closed last year from the pandemic and financial issues, the Fenton Chester Arena looks to open its doors to the public once again.
LYNDON - This week Governor Scott along with the Agency of Transportation, and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development, announced that $262,500 Will be going to Lyndon, Bethel, and Poultney to help make their communities more livable and walkable. This money has been rewarded to these towns through the better connections grant program, Which works together to help communities build more livable and workable communities.

LYNDON - Jesse Holden of NEK Endurance had an idea for a fundraising event for the Lyndon Outing Club, and that idea was put into action on Saturday. This past weekend, over 70 skiers, hikers, runners, and observers showed up to support the Outing Club and get one last ride in for the 2021 season.
LYNDONVILLE-Lyndon Institutes Ski teams just finished their season, closing their season with a Ski-A-Thon. Although many students agree that this year was different due to covid, they are glad they got to spend time with their teammates to ski around the track.
LYNDONVILLE-Children Literacy Foundation's (CLiF) mission is to put books in the hands of children all around the state of Vermont and New Hampshire. CLiF has been one of Cobleigh Public Libraries long time allies, and the library recently received a Rural Libraries grant from CLiF. "With this grant, it goes to smaller communities," Youth Services Librarian, Abby Johnson said.
LYNDON – Lyndon Institute was classified as a COVID outbreak by Vermont's Department of Health, after 14 members of the community tested positive. The school first got word of a positive case shortly after the boys hockey game against St. Johnsbury on the 25th of February.
LYNDON - Residents of Lyndon voted to approve a $2,711,338 General Fund for the town yesterday, which included a $232,767 for the Lyndonville Fire Department. This is an 8% increase from the previous year and includes new, lighter-weight gear.
