St.J Preparing Water and Sewer Budget

ST.JOHNSBURY- The town of St. Johnsbury is working to release the new water and sewer budget as soon as possible. At last night’s select board meeting, the assistant town manager, David Ormiston said, they have finally honed in on the expenses for this year.

The water and sewer facilities in St.Johnsbury are old and in need of attention. The equipment at the Waste Water and Treatment Filteration plants are places that will need and use the budget expenses over a long period of time.

Ormiston said, “We want to make sure that the select board has a chance to see those facilities, see how they operate, and see the needs.”

The select board will be visiting these plants over the next ten days. The board hopes to put together a budget and have a discussion at the select board meeting on April 28th.
