ST. Johnsbury Auto Stuff-The-Truck

stuff a truckST. JOHNSBURY - St. Johnsbury Auto on Route 5 is holding a food drive, or as they call it, "Stuff The Truck". The event lasts from now until the end of the month, and the company will be collecting non-perishable food items as well as house hold items.

At the end of the month all of the food collected by the auto company will be donated to two food shelves in the area; one in Lyndon and the other in St. Johnsbury, with hopes to give families who are struggling better Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Even though the food drive alone is a big help to families in need, St. Johnsbury Auto is doing even more to help. On top of the food donations, St. Johnsbury Auto will match 100% of the donations pound for pound. Colleen Long of St. Johnsbury Auto says, "What we are going to do is since every dollar you donate to a food shelf buys three pounds of food, what we will do is take the total tonnage and divide by three, and then we will write a check."

For more information and details on how to donate, visit St. Johnsbury Auto online, or on route 5 in St. Johnsbury.
