VSP Trooper Accident

St. Johnsbury- Around 3:15pm Sunday afternoon, a trooper from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury barracks struck another vehicle in East St. Johnsbury while responding to a domestic dispute call.

VSP Trooper Jason Haley was driving on Route 2 in East St. Johnsbury with his blue lights on, and with his sirens off, when 26-year-old Amanda Hahr pulled onto Route 2 from East Village Road. Hahr realized that Haley was quickly approaching, and attempted to pull into a private drive to avoid accident. Haley, attempting to avoid Hahr, pulled into the oncoming lane. Both cars received extensive front end damage.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. Haley’s cruiser and Hahr’s Honda civic were towed from the scene. The crash is still under investigation and the domestic dispute call was handled by another trooper.
