RCT On The Move

rct3ST. JOHNSBURY -- In just a couple of months Rural Community Transit will be moving locations, but will still stay in St. Johnsbury. The building that RCT will be moving into is the old Kroll Telemarketing Company Building. This place will allow the company to set up roots where they will stay premaritally.

RCT is currently located on U.S. Route 2. However the building they are in right now they are only renting.

"We had the opportunity to purchase this building, and so it's going to give us a lot more space put everything on the same site, and it'll be a home," executive director Mary Grant stated. "We'll finally have a home and we won't be renters. Right now we're renters. And it'll be part of the community."

The price for the building was valued at just about $700,000. With the combined efforts from Begin Realty and Dennis Laferriere, RCT was able to make a purchase for a little over $300,000.

With the amount they spent on their new building, RCT will be able to save just over $10,000 just in next year which will help with expanding their services.
