The Stage Opening

the stage openingLYNDONVILLE- New businesses are opening throughout Lyndonville one business that just opened its door is "The Stage." The Stage is located where the former business Burgers and Fries Unlimited was.

The Stage is different then most restaurants around Lyndonville because not only are they serving food but live music to go with it.

"I've always wanted a place like this around and I didn't want to have to travel forty minutes to go and listen to a local band and I didn't want to have to be out at 11:00 at night when the local band finally starts that's why this opportunity kind of came up and I said lets do it." Aine Baker the owner of The Stage said.

Baker hopes that the live music will help draw in crowds and his hoping to have better luck than the building's former occupants.

"In the restaurant business the margins are very very low so you have to get a lot of people through the door to actually make a profit, butI think that it can be done as long as you have a good community," Baker explained.

The Stage has about a month worth of bands booked and as of right now most of the bands are local. Baker said, "Bands will get paid here whether they get paid by food or cash.

The next few guests to perform at "The Stage" are Rachel Laggins and Tritium Well. Baker is hoping to see high school and college students as well as anyone who is just looking to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
