SAINT JOHNSBURY- In a close match the Saint Johnsbury Academy and Lyndon Institute girl's field hockey teams tied 1-1 in yesterday's game.
The last time these teams played each other LI won 1-0. While LI scored the first goal during the first period, SJA soon followed suit, keeping the game tied for the rest of the match. By the fourth period the crowd grew restless anytime the ball was close to the net or a shot was made.
Lyndon's head coach, Roxanne Courser, believes that this game should keep them where they are at when it comes to the approaching playoffs. According to Courser, LI is currently placed third. LI has 8 wins, 4 losses, and one tie, Courser said.
SJA still has one more game to play this season on October 18th. They will be playing against Missisquoi Valley Union High School. This season, SJA has had six wins, four losses, and two ties.
