LYNDON - Lizzy Vinton, president of LI's French Club, and class secretary has been awarded a full ride scholarship. She recieved the award for being deligent in not only school but also the theatre and other extra-curricular activities.
Vinton boasts an impressive 4.1 GPA and is very dedicated to her community and volunteer work.
Vinton's scholarship is worth $56,000 over the course of four years or eight semesters. This is not the only time Vinton has been recognized for her academic excellence; Last year she recieved the distinction of the AP scholar by receiveing a score of 5 in AP US History and AP calculus AB. Vinton was also inducted into the National Honors society last fall.
Lyndon Insitutes Headmaster, Daren Houck, stated that he's proud of Lizzie and her accomplishments and that "she typifies the succesful Lyndon Institute student--hard working, commited to her studies, and involved in academic, artistic and service learning activities."
Vinton's post-graduation plans include enrolling in a pre-medical programs and persuing a career in medicine.
