LYNDONVILLE- The winter parking ban and the waste removal system in town were the big topics of discussion during Lyndon's select board meeting on Monday night. The select board is looking into soultions that could help solve these impending problems.
The owner of Phat Kats Tavern spoke up about the parking ban issue explaining that often times costumers just leave when they are told to move their cars at midnight which could potentially hurt his business.
The board is looking into a solution that would allow cars to stay parked as long as the weather conditions allow.
Board members are also discussing how they can change the waste removal system in town. As of July 2015, recyclables will no longer be allowed in Vermont landfills, so an alliterative is necessary.
Select Board member, Martha Feltus, says they will have to do whatever they can to pick up the recycling and dispose of it whether they "recycle it themselves or send it to a single sort of place."
The select board will be considering the town issues and may discuss the solutions at the next town meeting.
