Lyndon Institute Lower's Tuition Cost

LI TUITIONLYNDONVILLE - Lyndon Institute's total tuition cost has decrease 100,000 dollars for the 2014-2015 academic year. As a result, LI is able to offer students new services.

According to Head Master Rick Hilton, the decrease in school-age population in the Northeast Kingdom and the cost of Lyndon Center Private school is responsible for the lower cost. The bill went from a projected 5,847,270 dollars down to a projected 5,747,480 dollars.

"At LI we have generated new revenues from our boarding programs, summer programs, facilities rentals, investment income, and donations from alumni and friends of the school," Hilton says.

As a result of the extra finances LI is able to add services for the students while lowering the total tuition cost. Services including bus transpiration and supervised after-school programs.

In addition those programs, LI will be offering "whole-some" school lunches. Hilton says "where learning is concerned, lunch is not a luxury, it's a necessity. Test scores, attendance, disipline, physical health, and mental health are all improved by good nutrition in the school cafeteria. We're taking positive action to help our students and our community be heathlier and more succesful."

School lunches will not only be healthier, but will also be free. Eliminating money for the equation assures every student can have a meal.

The amount for next year's student averages 15,993 dollars compared to the current cost of 18,522.25 dollars.
