LYNDON - More than 50 students from 6 local schools participated in a contest all to show off their engineering skills, while building bridges.
The 12th annual bridge building competition over the weekend at Lyndon Institute, showed off student's hard work over the past month. With so many spectators, some were directed into the auditorium to watch the projects on the big screen.
Lyndon Institute engineering instructor Chad Simpson ran the event for the first time this year and knows how hard it is for the students to build the bridges "the horror is that their bridge started to break because of so much time and effort they put into it" says Simpson adding "its extremely challenging."
The winner of the competition was Wyatt Moreau who's bridge held over 3,000 pounds, before giving way.
