Wheeler Materials Says Goodbye

For 63 years, the Wheeler Building Materials was the go-to for many people in Lyndonville.

However last week that legacy enters a new chapter as it officially joins the Sticks n’ Stuff family.

Mike Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Materials helped explain why the buyout happened and why it needed to be someone like Sticks n’ Stuff.

"Actually, the decision that I made to some of these people. I am totally at ease. Where they're incredible people. The owners are down to earth. I mean, it's just a great company, and I'm anxious to see what happens. So the business side of things, I'm totally at ease with it. personally, emotionally I'm struggling with it because it was in our family for so long."

"I wanted to make sure that they were going to be taken care of. And they're taking care of them better than I was able to because they, you know, they've got more resources than I had. So it's been a great situation. That was one of the key factors, that and the community."

Although we say goodbye to Wheeler Building Materials, all of the staff remain, and the goal to ensure the community ties don’t sever.
