Local Career Fair Brought Great Opportunity To Local Community

Career FairLYNDON - Northern Vermont University at Lyndon hosted a career fair today that started at 10am. The event was open to all members of the community and many of the Universities students were urged by professors to utilize the careers and vendors in attendance.

"The employers have come to them (students) so you can just walk around and give out your resume or business cards." Says NVU student Bryanna Smith who helped to run the event.
A great opportunity for all, and there were vendors for many different fields. As well as just general jobs for those seeking work in the community. Local students attended the career fair as an opportunity in a more professional conversation.

"The career for me is an opportunity to find a job in the area as well as connect with people in both the department I'm in and outside as well." Said Michael Bachand a student at Northern Vermont University.

The career fair booked 31 vendors for the event from local banks to Fox44 a news station out of Colchester Vermont.

The event ran from 10am this morning until 2pm this afternoon.
