The Chiefs Town

Police carLyndonville- Jack Harris has been a Police Officer since July 31st 1989. He first started out in Connecticut then moved his way to the green mountains of Vermont. Where he worked his way through the ranks to become Chief of the Lyndonville police department.

One thing that Jack has provided during his years of duty is safety to the people In the community. Harris said that some of the perks about working a small community "We get to meet people one on one". Something a lot of officers like to do is know who the members are in the community themselves. Jack gets to see everyone on there good and bad days. One of the most important things that Jack has learned as an officer is to not take the job home afterwords.

Jack takes that to the next level. By being involved in the very community he serves. He supports local business and even coaches the Lyndonville institute track team. Which had there best season yet last year. Harris thinks they can even get better says "They could be better this year" the team is now growing. Jack joins the community in events and it shows when people walk by or drive by his car they always beep and wave.

Another thing Jack is fond about is the local food. Whenever he calls the restaurants they know it's him. At hoagies they have the Jack sub "A barbecue chicken sub with any hot pepper on it if they have them I prefer ghost peppers". Another thing that Chief Harris has become accustomed to is all the hard work he puts into his task force. A colleague and friend of Chief harris is police officer Trucott "He's a very respectful man he's a great leader and great person to work for". Chief harris has impacted many lives in the community of Lyndonville and continues to do so everyday.
