Lyndon - The Vermont Agency of Transportation has presented a budget recession plan. The plan would cut $400,000 from the local paving budgets. This is in result of the 2.8 million dollar budget cutback that passed back in July.
The cutback will effect the amount of roads the department of transportation can pave and the potholes that need to be fixed.
Residents of Lyndon have mixed opinions about the plan, Amy Bean thinks it won't be an issue, "I feel like some of the areas that I drive on a lot have been taken care of. They were pretty bad at one point, but I think they've been pretty well taken care of."
However, resident Stephanie Bubrouski thinks otherwise, " I think that most of the roads are alright, but some of the roads definitely need work."
Although they may not be able to fix all the roads this year, the money will be restored into the 2018 budget according to state documents.
