LYNDON - October is National Physical Therapy Month. Many people are under the impression that physical therapy are only for people who are recovering from an injury, but that's not necessarily true.

Ben McCormack, owner of Northern Physical Therapy believes that physical therapy does not only assist people to bounce back from injury, but also helps people live more comfortably. McCormack says, "You know, we all get to go around once on earth, and you might as well go as happy and healthy as you can go. What you find with a lot of people that are living with aches and pains, they don't need to live with, and physical therapy can help. It can really make a difference in the quality of life meter."
Northern Physical Therapy not only improves the lives of their patients, but also the community. The group is proud to provide many health seminars and activities for the surrounding area. The N.E.K. Great PB & J Challenge is going on now from October 15th-19th. It benefits the backpacks for kids program, which is being done in conjunction with H.O.P.E. in Lyndon. Northern Physical Therapy is also putting on an arthritis seminar on October 22d at the Darling Hill meal site, at 6:00 P.M.
