VERMONT - Gas prices are on the rise again all over there country. The national average price for gas is three dollars and eighty cents a gallon, while in Vermont the average is three dollars and ninety-five cents a gallon.
It's not the individual gas station to blame however. At one particular gas station in Lyndonville, even the managers don't have control over gas pricing.
At the M and M Beverage Mart, which is the gulf station in Lyndonville, Danielle Altman, the station manager, says she has no control in this situation. "It's hard to say I know that they're getting as frustrated as we are how it does fluctuate it's not even...it's constantly going up. it'll go up one week down the next. It's really hard to say," says Altman, she continues, "If...as an example if the gas were to go down today we would not be able to actually lower the price until we got a delivery at the lower price. So it depends on the fuel suppliers."
The M and M Beverage in Lyndonville currently has the highest price for gas in Vermont, and four dollars and five cents. Gas customers can find a better deal if they driver over the Connectuicut river border to Littleton New Hampshire, where prices are a bit lower at three eighty-eight a gallon.
