Danville School Hires New Assistant Principal

Danville New Assistant PrincipalDANVILLE- The Danville School now has a new Assistant Principal. At the Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday night, Sarah Welch, was officially approved by the school board for her new position.Out of Thirty-Seven candidates for the position, Welch, who works currently for the Lyndon Town School was picked. Danvilles last Assistant Principal, left because he found an administrative position at another school closer to where he lived.

The board hopes that Welch will stick around for more than just a couple of years. “Unfortunately administrative positions sometimes, people, move away after a couple of years. Especially Assistant Principal positions, ‘cause they may look to move on to be a principal somewhere. But, we’re hoping that she’ll be here for a few years, and looking forward to working with her.” The School Board is confident  in their choice of her and that she will fit in well here.
