RYEGATE - Tess Conant has been making gifts out of glass for the last seven years.

When you think of an artist some would think of drawer or a painter, but Conant creates glass art.

Making different items from ornaments, to earring holders, Conant has tried it all. She gets some of her art from different patterns but some of it she makes herself.

Conant taught herself most of the things that she does now when it comes to stain glass, she said looking things up on the Internet and getting ideas from others allows her to make these different works of art. Starting seven years ago she can remember giving her son one of her first pieces as a wedding present. In the shop that she has build right in her own home she has all kinds of tools grinders and many other pieces of equiptment to make the piece look just how she wants it.

She said "One of the best things about knowing an art is being able to teach others." Tess loves to teach and loves to give her gift to others.
