Country Stars Visit St. Johnsbury

aylabrownST. JOHNSBURY - Country Singer and former American Idol contestant Ayla Brown visited St. Johnsbury last night.

Brown was the opening act for multi-platinum country artist Clint Black.

Last night was Brown's first time performing in Vermont. The concert started at 7 p.m. at Fuller Hall on the St. Johnsbury Academy campus. Tickets ranged from $29 to $95 per ticket. The show was set up by Kingdom County Productions, who brought the acts to the Northeast Kingdom.

Clint Black has won five Academy of Country Music awards, and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry" since 1991. Like many country music fans know the words to Black's music, Brown hopes one day fans will sing along with hers as well.

"I want to look out from the stage, and (have) a group of people, I don't care how big or small, mouthing the words to my songs. I think if people know the words to your songs that's when you know you've made it," Brown said.

Black and Brown are just two of many acts that Kingdom County Productions brings to the Northeast Kingdom. Kingdom County Productions continues to bring Natalie MacMaster, an accomplished fiddler, back for concerts. MacMaster will be performing Thursday November 29th, in Bellows Falls. Kingdom County Productions will also be bringing the Russian National Ballet to Lyndon Institute on March 27th, 2013.
