Brewing Brothers

schillingLITTLETON, NH- Schilling Beer Company in Littleton N.H. is doing very well for itself, after being open for only two years. The family run business is a dream come true to brothers Matt, Jeff, and Stuart Cozzens.

The Schilling Brewery is located in an old mill, built in 1797. The Cozzen brothers have had to make several renovations to fit all of their brewing equipment, but for them it was worth it.

"It made sense to plant [the brewery] here on the river based on the styles of beer that we brew; it just was a natural fit." Company CFO Matt Cozzens told us.

For the brothers, it's more than just a full time job.

"This is a family-run business, and we absolutely love this. This has been a dream of ours for a long time," said company COO Stuart Cozzens.

Though the company has been successful over the last two years, they are continuously looking for ways to improve their setting, and produce more beer. Although they are not distributing right now, they are close to making initial plans to do so.

Matt Cozzens commented on the constant work going on behind the scenes, saying "We work before we open and late at night."

The community is very supportive of Schilling, and in return the brewery likes to give back. On Saturday March 14th Schilling will be hosting a fundraiser for childhood cancer research.  Last year they were able to raise six thousand dollars, and this year they hope to reach their goal of fifteen thousand dollars. And get this, if that goal is reached, the three brothers will be shaving their heads.
