A Magical Ride

LYNDON- This weekend children got the chance to climb in-between the pages of a beloved children’s story, as they road the Lyndon Polar Express.

Families flocked from a parts of the New England to join in on the Christmas cheer. They braved treacherous conditions to provide this once in a life time chance.

"Yesterday we had treacherous roads and we had people come up from Road Island and all over and they just told us how they would do it again” explained Cathy Paris, the owner of the Lyndon Freight House who puts on the ride “and it was well worth it, and that to me is so special to be able to give this gift of memories, that's really why we do it."

This is the ninth year the Lyndon Freight House has put on the ride. Guest board the train right outside the Freight House and are immediately welcomed aboard with cookies and hot coco. They then ride the train all the way to the “North Pole”, where they are greeted by Santa and given a special souvenir for their trip.

The trip only happens two days a year and tickets are always hard to get. Most pre order them or get up early to wait in line.
