Improving Efficiency in Vermont

Efficiency_Vermont.jpg North East Kingdom- Efficiency Vermont has a three year plan to help fix problems and improve energy efficiency in eight different towns in Vermont.

The company has already traveled to St. Albans, Barre and Lyndonville to find out what problems the public is facing while they try and reduce their energy costs on their own.

On November fifth, Efficiency Vermont will be going to Bennington, then November sixth the company will be going to Brattleboro to ask more questions about how they can make reducing energy costs easier for Vermonters.

Upon recent request The Company will be going to Richmond on December tenth and Brandon on December 11.

During the public forums, Jim Merriam the director of Efficiency Vermont said he heard a common theme and now is working with his company to try a reduce the cost of heating houses during the winter.

In December the company will start buying heat pumps and giving them to every distributer in Vermont to make sure when residents install heat pumps they have the most efficient and low on cost.

Bridget Ashe, the customer support manager also said that she heard a lot of complatints about contratcers coming in to households and doing a poor job. In the future the company is planing on making it simpler for residents to get a good conartor to repair and install whatever the customer needs.
