loc bazaarLYNDON - As the winter season approaches, the Lyndon Outing Club hosted their 3rd annual Holiday Bazaar. Founded in 1937, the Lyndon Outing Club has offered family fun for decades, and hopes to continue with the help from events like this, as well as from community members. Providing the only night skiing venue here in the Northeast Kingdom, the LOC is also home to one of the oldest running rope tows in history.

Community members flocked to the Outing Club Saturday for raffles, home cooked food, and holiday gifts made right here in Vermont.

The Bazaar is run by local volunteers including Sue Teske, President of the Lyndon Outing Club. "Our board members engage in fundraising so that we don't have to go out and ask people for money. This is a service to the community. It provided quality holiday items, reasonably priced, and it helps the Outing Club as well."

Others used the opportunity to inform the community about their products and gifts. The Collins family of Peacham volunteered their time for a chance to help teach others the craft behind holiday wreathes.

The Bazaar raised $985 for the Lyndon Outing Club. This money will help fund future events and general operations. For updates and more information on how you can help, visit the Lyndon Outing Club Facebook page.
