LYNDON- Every season has something special to offer, like the extreme changes of temperature or the alteration in atmosphere, however the one thing everyone loves about seasons are the variety of sports offered during them.

Village Sports Shop located in Lyndonville offers an array of selections for these sports. The shop is fully stocked year round with the essentials needed for these outdoor sporting events.

Currently, they are in the process of removing all summer gear (kayaks, mountain bikes, etc.) and transferring over to support the winter wonderland that is on its way.

Carrie Tomczyk, co-owner of Village Sports Shop, tells us that this upcoming Christmas stretch is their best time of year. "It's the perfect layout of seasons," Tomczyk says, and that it is. With mountain biking wrapping up October, hunting taking over November and ski season starting in December; the shop is booked up.

While the random faces of tourist walk in and out, she said the local familiar faces are what keep the shop going. "But people that come up for vacation like to stop in and save their big shopping for here.. they've been coming here for years." With a diverse group of travelers, she said they always try to keep up to date with what people need.

Catering to their customers, the shop makes sure they switch out the ammo and guns needed to particular seasons, offer proper attire and outerwear for weather conditions and say that customer service is number one on their list.
