LYNDON - Lyndon held their annual town meeting yesterday to approve the towns budgets and appropriations as well as elect town officials. One of the long standing select men is stepping down after serving the board for 12 years. Kermit Fisher announced his leave this year and will be replaced by Fred Gorham.
The town budget went down by 20% this year, and was approved. All appropriations including that to move future appropriations to australian ballot were also approved.
Since all positions were by ballot this would make all decisions to be made for the town done by australian ballot in the next year's town meeting. This does not include any votes for the school as that is seperate from the town.
This new form of voting will be adopted by the town by the year of 2020.
