After_school_programing_2.jpgLYNDON - The after-school program at the Lyndon Town School has about 160 students. The program runs Monday-through-Thursday from 2:45 P.M. to about 5:15 P.M. and is available for any student from kindergarten to the eighth grade.

The program offers many activities for the students to do. Some of the activities include tiny tots tumbling, pottery for the older kids, and building different kinds of snowmen while enjoying the wintry weather. One group made a sabretooth tiger snowman, while another group created a frog.

When asked what they like about the after-school program, a student who requested to remain anonymous said "I really enjoy it because I get to do my homework at the after-school program and I don't have to wait until I get home."

"Oh man I don't have to do my homework now at home!" said the student.

Site Coordinator Paul St. Marie really enjoys his time with the students. What he really likes best is "the growth of the students."

"We had this one girl who first started here was really shy and now she is one of the eighth grade leaders to helps with the little ones," says St. Marie.

The program helps the students become better people, and it also helps kids be able to have some one on one time asking for help of their homework assignments that they are struggling on.
