mountainprepBURKE VT- Burke is once again peparing their slopes for winter. The decrease in temperature and the increase in percipitation has finally dawned on the mountain.

The mountain is already in the winter spirit despite the lack of snow. They plan to open officially on December thirteenth.
According to Q Burke Event Coordinator Patrick Bradley, buisness at the Mountain is already popping.
"Currently we are booking over 30 events for the winter, so, we're gonna have a lot of fun. We're gonna have air bags set up, we're gonna have stand up comedians, a lot of live music at the Bear Den lounge and  the Tamarack Pub & Gril."
The mountain is also participating in the Efficiency Vermont's Great Snow Gun Round Up. 2300 brand new low energy snow guns are being exchanged for 1800 older model guns all over the state. It is estimated that the swap will save enough energy to supply 1,500 Vermont homes with electricity, for a full year.
The mountain is also reattaching chairs to the lift, and doing everything they can to make the upcoming season their best yet. They are shooting to get the snow guns raring as early as this week.
