Extension of School Zones

peacham safetyPEACHAM- Due to high speeds and inatentaive drivers, the town of Peacham has decided to extend the school zone on Main St. by the elementary school.


 

In addition to extending the school zone, Peacham will re-paint the cross walk on Main St. near the elementary school, as well as put up more school zone signs around the area to further inform drivers of the speed limit.

The street has been causing enough concern that it was brought to the select board, after a bicyclist and elementary school children were almost hit on their way to school a few weeks ago.

The select board encourages residents and others to speak up about their own concerns about the road.
