LYNDON - A home located on Center Street in Lyndon is being town down due to the damage it endured during the numerous floods in the area over the years, with Tropical Hurricane Irene being a breaking point.
The owner came to the decision to work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency on a buy-out and hand the property over to the town of Lyndon.
The materials and land won't to waste however. Some of the components of the house will be used in future projects around town. The land will become a town-owned green space where grass and trees will be laid.
