nelson civil courtST. JOHNSBURY - Ralph Nelsons case continues in court as he fights for his job back. Shortly after Nelson was fired he filed paperwork against the town on St. Johnsbury and the selectbord for their decision to remove him from the position of town manager. After the papers were filed nelsons lawyer Richard Cassidy said "we filed this case back in may and the defendants have done nothing except defend the hearing that was being held."

Thomas Leddy the attorney for the town on St. Johnsbury said they need time to go over the twenty page document with over 170 paragraphs of factual evidence.

Cassidy and Nelson are trying to speed the story along because of the fact that St. Johnsbury does not have a defined town manager at this time. Cassidy said "its a bit disappointing to us we wanted to get the case resolved as soon as possible, its not as soon as i think could have been possible but the court has its own considerations."

When asked if Nelson was going for his job back all Cassidy had to say was " that is Mr. Nelsons objective.
