There is 1 open seat in Caledonia District 2, and there’s 2 candidates running. 

Republican Incumbent Micheal Southworth and Democratic candidate Audrey Grant.

 

Mike Southworth is committed to addressing his constituency’s concerns, which consist of a high tax burden, pathways for local schooling, and heavy regulation. He is focused on producing effective legislation that serves long-term issues for the NEK and is committed to working and listening with the members of the House and Senate. While in office he helped roll back climate mandates, helped provide tax relief to those on social security and military retirees. 

 

His opponent, democratic candidate Audrey Grant, is focused on affordability, community infrastructure, and strengthening NEK’s resilience to natural disasters like flooding. She hopes to address the high cost of living by cutting taxes without cutting crucial programs. She wants sustainable local infrastructure investments to help grow economic development.  

 

Audrey is endorsed by the National Education Association, Mamdanification, Run for Something, Planned Parenthood and others.
