season overLYNDON - On Wednesday night the Lyndon Institute Vikings season came to a close. Lyndon Institute got it's fourth "check from behind" penalty on the season which caused them to be forced to end there season.

After the third "check from behind" penalty earlier in the season the Vermont Principals Association and Paul Wheeler the Athletic Director for Lyndon Institute held a meeting to tell head coach Joe Varley that if this happened again the season would be over.

Now that the time has come the season is over for the Vikings hockey team and the last two games have been cancelled. The Last two games were scheduled to be against St. Johnsbury Academy and Burr and Burton.

Bob Johnson of the Vermont Principals Association said there have been a total of twenty checks from behind in the state which would mean that Lyndon Institute has committed 20% of all illegal checks in the state of Vermont.
