PEACHAM - For five months out of the year a building that holds an art guild, is home to a farmers market that sells fresh produce during the cold winter months from farms just a walking distance away. Every week a building in Peacham known for it's artisans guild, opens its doors to a farmers market "we have customers that come every week" says Bone Farms vendor Jennifer Bone " it gets us out a little bit."
Numerous farms from the area participate in the event which draws many residents as well as regulars like Debi Smith who comes because she knows everything is fresh and who's food it is " you really know where the eggs came from, the bread was made and usually some of the farms here at at least in walking distance. It doesn't get any fresher than that."
Fresh is something Bone and her farm says is the key to have the best tasting produce "first off you're getting the best food that you can. These sprouts are exactly seven days old. Seven days ago they were a seed and it's something that we're passionate about, as well as family.
The market is open every Thursday from 3pm to 6pm until the end of April.
