depotsquareapartmentsST. JOHNSBURY- St. Johnsbury Academy has officially announced that they will not rent or purchase the Depot Square Apartments in St. Johnsbury. The building is located on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Railroad Street. 

The apartment complex is near several businesses, but Gary Ely of the Caplan's Army Store thinks the poor reputation of the apartments factored into the Academy's decision.

"I think there's been a lot of negative controversy over the building," said Ely. "But boy we sure would have liked to have seen them down there." 

Despite St. Johnsbury Academy's decision to not go further with the building, Burlington Labs has placed a deposit on the building. When asked, Headmaster Tom Lovett declined to comment.
