State Auditor in Court for DUI

On November 13th, State Auditor Tom Salmon was pulled over by police in Montpelier and was subsequently charged with DUI. On Thursday, he had his day in court.

Salmon plead guilty in the Washington County courtroom in Barre saying that "I understand I made a mistake. I'm here today to deal with it and move forward".

He will have to pay a $500 fine, $376 in court fees, and has had his license suspended for 90 days. In order to get his license back, Salmon will have to complete a drunked-driver rehabilitation program.
