Radio Show Host Runs for Congress

A Vermont radio show host has announced that he is running for Congress. Paul Beaudry, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, will be leaving the hour-long True North Radio Show in order to pursue his campaign. Beaudry is running for the Republican nomination and says that both he and his show have long been "grounded in traditional values." According to Beaudry, the most important points of his campaign are: that global warming does not exist and has served to drain the money of taxpayers, Government should leave Health Care in the hands of the free market, rights like the Second Amendment should be rejuvenated, and that the Government should stop spending money it doesn't have.
Beaudry believes that the Democratic Party is using global warming to create a one-world government because, "You have countries sign these treaties based on junk sciences, doctored evidence, and let's just face it, covering the facts, and then presenting something else. Every country in the world that signs on board these treaties will essentially have just become a little more socialist." Beaudry has faith in his ability to win the upcoming election. He will be running against fellow Republican Keith Stern in an effort to unseat Democrat Peter Welch.
