Bradford Gristmill Gets Facelift
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010
One of the oldest buildings in the town of Bradford continues it's long-term renovations. The Gristmill building, built before the Civil War, was deteriorating rapidly, that is, until Paul Sarkis bought the building and property around it.
"I was told when I bought the building", claimed Sarkis, "that it was going to go down because nobody made a penny within the last 100 years; but I still did not buy the building to make the money, I bought the building to preserve it."
Sarkis put a new roof up and installed energy-efficient windows. One of Paul's friends claimed, "Paul is definitely a hands-on guy. He's here every week checking out what is going on with the building and seeing how he can improve it." The first beer-tap of the season will be on May 8th with the deck opening up to live cam patrons by Memorial Day Weekend.
