A broken water main in St. Johnsbury forced the water department to shut off the towns water supply until it can be fixed.  While the water is shut off the town will draw off of its tanks but if those run dry before the repairs are finished the town could be without running water.In preparation for that scenario the St. Johnsbury School has already closed for tomorrow.  And during the repairs the water department recommends the boiling of any water residents do use to sterilize any possible contaminants.  It is currently unknown how long the repairs will take.
