Economic stimulus money continues to roll into the state. This time money is being aimed at children’s education. There
will be an additional $2 million this upcoming year for head start programs across the state of Vermont. This money is coming from the economic stimulus package, and will help the programs balance budgets after years of cuts. This lack of money has prevented teachers from receiving adequate pay. The new stimulus money will help to ensure that these dedicated teachers will be providing the very best education. The Northeast Kingdom Action Agency is still waiting to hear just how much of the money they will be receiving for their head start program.
