Vikings Suffer Third Shutout
Thursday, October 1st, 2009
The Lyndon Institute field hockey team took to the field against the Rice Green Knights on Tuesday, for their third straight shutout loss. In rainy weather, Kristin Skeffington put a goal in the net for the Green Knights just 10 minutes into the game. Rice dominated the first half, keeping Viking's goalie Michelle Newland on her toes with 16 saves. Rice refused to back down in the second half, and the Viking's gave up another 2 goals. The final score was 3-0.
Coach Roxanne Courser keeps a positive attitude about her Lady Vikings.
