The Northeast Kingdom Collaborative held a meeting today in Barton. The topic of discussion was mainly how to make the NEK more appealing to tourists. The public was welcome to attend, and hear a panel of experts discuss different marketing strategies to attract more tourists to the area without compromising the existing landscape or communities. There was a short question and answer period following. The NEK is a unique area for tourists, and is a center for geotourists from all over the country. A major concern is keeping it that way.
