Governor WILL Veto Same-Sex Marriage Bill

Earlier this week the Vermont Senate passed the Same-Sex Marriage Bill and the House is expected to do the same by next week.

However, there is one man who is not signing off on it, and that's Governor Jim Douglas.

Gov. Douglas organized a press conference yesterday to voice his concerns about the bill.

He clearly stated that he felt this issue was distracting to other bills in the system and that this particular bill was hard for him to make a decision on.

Even if the governor does veto the bill, it can still be made a law if the House and Senate override the veto by a two thirds vote from both sides.
