Jacob Kadamus

Hundreds of people assembled at the Union Baptist church in St. Johnsbury Tuesday to remember the life of Jacob Kadamus. Family doctor, Mark Price spoke about the well remembered life of Kadamus, saying, "I wouldn't be surprised if Jake is watching us now. He's probably got a grin on his face. He's probably up there snapping his fingers... and I can imagine Jake saying 'This is sweet, I brought 500 people to church today'."

Lyndon Institute Athletic Director, Paul Wheeler also spoke on his behalf saying, "I believe Jake's positive contributions to our school and our team is obvious. Not many words are needed to convey what he meant to L.I. in his short time here. Jake made an impact."

He made a big enough impact on the people around him that over 800 people showed up Tuesday afternoon. They sat in silence and in tears, reflecting on the life of a 17 year old young man that ended too soon.

The Jacob Kadamus Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund has been created by the Lyndon Institute in memory of his life. Donations can be made in Jacob's memory and sent to, Lyndon Institute in care of Paul Wheeler P.O. Box 127 Lyndon Center VT, 05851.
