Fire Safety for Rural Areas
Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

Many people love the Northeast Kingdom for its rural characteristics. One drawback to living in less populated areas, is the risk of fire and availability of the water used to fight it.There are a variety of ways home owners can compensate for this risk, including a dry fire hydrant system, which has been used for just over a decade. A more recent trend is installing a home sprinkler system. These devices in a house can lower insurance costs, while at the same time offering owners peace of mind.
