Captain Phillips Rescued
Yesterday, U.S. military officials said that Captain Phillips was in imminent danger when they shot and killed three Somalian Pirates, while the fourth surrendered. Members of the Maersk Alabama celebrated back aboard their ship in a Kenyan Port when they heard the news that the Captain had been rescued. The Somalian pirates were armed with AK-47's and pistols, however, Phillips was recovered by Navy forces uninjured and unharmed. The Justice Department is now considering pressing criminal charges on Somali. Not only is Phillips being considered a hero by his crew, but also by the President of the United States as President Obama said, "He is a model for all Americans." Captain Phillips wife is expected to speak in South Burlington this afternoon at 4 PM.
