Yesterday in South Burlington, Four Special Olympic Althletes from around the state gathered for their sendoff to the 2009 world games in Boise, Idaho.

One of those athletes participating in the games is Lyndonville resident, Elisha Buss.

The sport that Elisha will compete in at the winter games is Snowboarding.

To prepare for his event, Buss has been busy practicing on his snowboard so that he can be just as good as his Olympic idol, Shawn White.

Going up against 3,000 athletes from all around the world, you can say that Elisha has his work cut out for him.

His main goal... to win the most medals and his sister is one of many who believe he can do just that.

"Well, I'm sure he is going to great. He'll meet a lot of people, represent Vermont and I'm proud to be his sister."
