ST. JOHNSBURY- The St. Johnsbury select board discussed a potential surplus in the highway budget at their last meeting.

Town Manager Ralph Nelson broke down all of the figures and expenses in the budget for the 2011 year.  St. Johnsbury expects to be under the expected budget by about $12,000.

Nelson said there are also several options for next years budget, "It we were to run deficit next year, we have three choices.  One is to raise taxes, the second is to borrow, and the third is to do what is called imposing".

The select board's next meeting is Monday November 28^th.
